The International Tourist Guide Day will be held on February 22nd, 2015

Free tours and lectures at the University of Vienna!

The International Tourist Guide Day was an initiative of WFTGA (World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations) and takes place in February each year. In 1990 it was held for the first time. 15 countries, including Austria participated.

In 2015, the subject of the Tourist Guide Day in Vienna is the "650th Anniversary of the University of Vienna".

Tours in and around the University will be offered in numerous foreign languages at 11.00 a.m. and 2.30 p.m. German tours are offered the whole day.
Please register on February 22nd at our meeting point: Vienna Tourist Guides´ Welcome Desk at the University of Vienna (Universitätsring 1, 1010 Vienna).

After the opening ceremony, lectures in German will be given in the Great Ceremonial Hall of the University of Vienna. No fees will be charged, nor is prior reservation necessary.
