Dear friends of Vienna,

Come along and visit us on Sunday, 21st February, on the 2016 International Tourist Guide Day in Vienna, and enjoy our comprehensive and cost-free cultural programme.

International Tourist Guide Day, Sunday, 21st February.

Tours and lectures will be held throughout the whole day.

The International Tourist Guide Day is dedicated this year to the theme “Vienna’s Natural Environment” which perfectly suits this year’s venue, the Museum of Natural History, with its collection of some 30 million objects.

The Museum is home to world-famous and unique objects, such as the 29.500-year-old Venus of Willendorf and the world’s largest and oldest public collection of meterorites. Learn more about the history of this museum and discover some of the most important objects shown in the 39 exhibit halls.

As usual, we are going to support projects, the choice of which has fallen this time on the research project of the NHM on the blue roller, and we will also take over the sponsorship of a rose tree in the Volksgarten. We gladly accept voluntary donations for financing these undertakings.

About 150 Vienna Guides will offer their services on the World Day free of charge, not only to give insight into their occupation, but also to arouse curiosity for more.
