30TH INTERNATIONAL TOURIST GUIDE DAY 2019 IN VIENNA
ON FEBRUARY 15TH AND FEBRUARY 17TH, 2019
On February 21st, 1985 the World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations (WFTGA) was founded in Vienna. Four years later, the congress of the WFTGA decided to implement an annual „International Tourist Guide Day“ which is always supposed to be held around the founding date.
Since then, the Viennese Tourist Guides celebrated this day with various activities. 2019 we would like to draw your attention to one of the many attractions of the city of Vienna: The House of Austrian History. With free guided tours and lectures we would like to demonstrate our profound knowledge and our professionalism.
Meeting point for all guided tours: Österreichische Nationalbibliothek (Austrian National Library), Josefsplatz, 1010 Wien.
As in recent years, the International Tourist Guide Day 2019 will be held on two days:
February 15th: Free tours (in German only) for Blind and Visually Impaired visitors, from 1:00 am until 5:00 pm in Dom Museum Wien.
February 17th: Free tours and lectures from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm in the Austrian National Library, Josefsplatz, 1010 Wien.
